After buying new clothes, many people find that the size is not appropriate; some clothes have not been worn a few times and shrunk and faded after just washing them; newly bought underwear becomes red after a few days of wearing. In fact, all these can be avoided by reading clothes labels~
As we all know, all new clothes will have a tag on it, which contains a lot of important information about the clothes. However, we generally don't care about information other than size.
But a piece of clothing should not only be exquisite and beautiful, but also comfortable and practical. Learning to look at the hang tags is the step you learn to buy clothes.
1. Look at clothing rank
Product grade is an important indicator for judging the quality of a piece of clothing. It must be checked.
Clothing grades are divided into high-quality, first-class and qualified products. The higher the grade, the higher the color fastness (the less likely to fade and dye). The grade on the clothes tag should be at least qualified.
2. Look at the model or size
size or size is our most concerned point. Most of us buy clothes only by the size model on the label, S, M, L. But sometimes it doesn't fit so well. At this time, you have to refer to your height and chest (waist) circumference. Generally speaking, information such as height, chest circumference, waist circumference and other information are marked on the clothes tag. 】
For example, if a man’s suit jacket is marked as 170/88A (M), then 170 here refers to height, 88 refers to bust circumference, and the immediately following A here refers to body type or version, and the one in brackets M means medium size.
Generally speaking in our country, A is a normal body type, B is a fat body, C is an obese body, and Y is a lean body.
There are generally 5 types of size models: XS, S, M, L, XL, which are plus small, small, medium, large and extra large.
3. Judging by the safety level if you are allergic
According to the "National Textile Basic Safety Technical Specification", clothing can be divided into three safety levels: A, B, and C.
Category A is infant and toddler clothing: its formaldehyde content should not exceed 20 mg per kilogram. The clothing of children under 4 years old is generally Category A, especially clothing that sticks to the skin.
Category B is direct skin contact clothing: its formaldehyde content should not exceed 75 mg per kilogram, suitable for leather wear. The labels on general underwear, autumn clothes and pajamas are shown as category B.
Category C is indirect skin contact clothing: its formaldehyde content shall not exceed 300 mg/kg. Not suitable for direct contact with the skin, coats and clothes that do not directly contact the skin are generally category C. Attention, if the underwear is category C, it is recommended not to buy it.
